PROTEUS PROTOCOL

Proteus Protocol is currently in the PROTOTYPE STAGE, with some general art directions.

This project contains generative AI content. All generative AI assets are used strictly for temporary art direction and visual reference purposes, and will be replaced with final production assets before release.

There are still many small BUGS, including but not limited to some UI elements disappearing and music stopping when you load back in. The game is being developed entirely by me, and I am currently working on patching these issues.

Some of these bugs are partly caused by unfinished systems, such as turrets, self-defense towers, resource extraction features, and many more.

This build is meant to test the core gameplay loop. It is not intended as a quality test or polished demo.

GAME OVERVIEW:

Proteus Protocol is a PC factory game with two main goals. First, the player builds an industrial supply chain that extracts Helium 3 from Proteus and ships it back to Earth. Second, the player turns that operation into a permanent settlement on an alien ocean planet that can receive immigrants from Earth.

The main goal is Helium 3 delivery. Mining, ocean extraction, refining, logistics, power, research, and rocket assembly all support the same result: a working export operation that can keep sending fuel home.

The secondary goal is establishment growth. Housing, food, power, safety, services, and defense make the factory become a place where people can live. More population should create new needs, not just bigger numbers.

The player starts with five basic buildings provided by the mission. After that, the player is on their own. Every new platform, machine, power source, route, research choice, and rocket launch comes from the colony the player builds.
